Public profile picture download
The round photo you see on a profile is a small copy. X keeps several sizes of every profile picture, from a 48-pixel thumbnail to the original file the person uploaded. Right-click save usually gives you a 200 or 400 pixel version; this tool asks for the original and also gives you a 400 × 400 copy, the size X recommends for uploads.
Enter a handle with or without the @, or paste a profile link from x.com or twitter.com. You get the profile picture and, if the account has one, the 1500 × 500 header banner, each with its own download button.
Profile pictures and headers are public on X, even for accounts with protected posts, so they can be saved. A protected account's posts stay private. Suspended and deactivated accounts have no public profile, so they return an error, and nothing about your lookup is shared with the account you check.
How it works
One handle gets the profile picture and the header.
Type @name, name, or paste a link like x.com/name. Extra parts of the link are ignored.
The tool reads the public profile and shows the profile picture and header side by side.
Save the original-size profile picture, the 400 × 400 copy, or the 1500 × 500 header.
What you get
The difference shows as soon as you zoom or reuse the image in a deck.
X's size suffix is removed from the image address, so you get the file as it was uploaded, often larger than 400 × 400.
The exact size X recommends for profile pictures, handy for checking how a new photo will look.
The 1500 × 500 header comes with the same lookup, so you don't need a second tool.
Works with @handles, plain usernames and x.com or twitter.com profile links.
The page address updates with the handle, so you can bookmark or share a lookup.
Use cases
Mostly for their own accounts, or to reference a public figure correctly.
Get back a profile picture you uploaded years ago when the original file is gone.
Use a speaker's or partner's official avatar at a sharp size, with their permission.
Compare the 400 × 400 copy with your original to see how X compresses and crops it.
Save the real account's picture to compare with a lookalike account before you report it.
Responsible use
The tool reads only what X shows on a public profile page. A profile picture is often a photo of a real person or a company's trademark, so ask before republishing it and never use someone's photo to create an account that looks like theirs. Xholic AI is not affiliated with X Corp.
FAQ
Sizes, private accounts and saving on your phone.
Enter their handle above and choose Download profile photo. The tool removes X's size suffix from the image address, so you get the original file the person uploaded rather than the small copy shown on the profile.
The original file is whatever size the owner uploaded, which is often larger than 400 × 400. The second download is a 400 × 400 copy, the size X recommends for profile pictures.
Yes, if the account still has a profile. X shows profile pictures and headers to everyone, even when the posts are protected, so the tool can save them. The account's posts and their photos stay private. Suspended and deactivated accounts can't be looked up.
No. The lookup reads public profile data. X does not notify an account when someone views or saves its profile picture.
Yes. If the account has a header, it appears next to the profile picture at 1500 × 500 with its own download button.
Open this page in Safari, enter the handle and tap the download button. The file goes to Files under Downloads; open it and tap Share, then Save Image, to add it to Photos.
