Is Kimi Code the same as the Kimi chat app?

No. Kimi Code is Moonshot's terminal coding agent, which supports MCP servers like Xholic. The Kimi chat app is a separate product.

I used the older kimi CLI. Does that work?

The older kimi-cli used kimi mcp add --transport http --auth oauth xholic <url> and kimi mcp auth xholic. Kimi Code now uses /mcp-config; both reach the same Xholic server.

Is Xholic free to use with Kimi Code?

Xholic has a 7-day free trial with no card needed. After that, the MCP server, API and CLI are included in every plan, from $19 a month. Kimi Code does the writing on its own plan, so Xholic doesn't charge for its AI.

Does Kimi Code need my X password?

No. You connect your X account to Xholic once through X's official sign-in. Kimi Code then signs in to Xholic through your browser, so it never sees your X password or a key.

Can Kimi Code post to X without asking me?

Only if you allow it. When you approve Kimi Code you choose what it can do: read, write drafts and lists, and publish. Untick Publish and it asks you first with a one-click link. Which X accounts can Kimi Code use?

Only the ones you tick when you approve it, with one of them as the default. You can change that or disconnect Kimi Code anytime in Xholic under Settings → API / MCP / CLI, and everything it does is logged there.
