Grok Bot + Xholic
Put Grok Bot to work on your X account
Paste one prompt into a Grok Bot chat and it adds Xholic as a connector. Then give it routines: a morning brief, replies to approve, a week of drafts, all on its own cloud computer.
- Paste one prompt; the Bot adds Xholic itself
- Routines run while you're offline
- You approve before anything goes live

How to add the Xholic MCP server to Grok Bot
Connect your X account to Xholic first (one click with X's official sign-in, during the free trial). Then:
Step 1: Copy the setup prompt
Copy this prompt and paste it into a Grok Bot chat. It tells Grok Bot exactly how to add Xholic and nothing else.
Setup prompt Set up Xholic for me. Xholic manages my X (Twitter) account: posts, scheduling, analytics, leads and notes. 1. If you already have Xholic tools (for example get_me), skip step 2. 2. Add https://api.xholic.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, OAuth) named "xholic", for all projects, then sign in through the browser when it asks. Don't ask me for a key. Use your own setup command if you have one: Claude Code, claude mcp add --scope user --transport http xholic https://api.xholic.ai/mcp; Codex or the ChatGPT desktop app, codex mcp add xholic --url https://api.xholic.ai/mcp then codex mcp login xholic; Hermes, hermes mcp add xholic --url https://api.xholic.ai/mcp --auth oauth; OpenClaw, openclaw mcp add xholic --url https://api.xholic.ai/mcp --transport streamable-http with auth set to oauth, then openclaw mcp login xholic. Otherwise add it to your MCP config file. Tell me if I need to restart you to load it. If you can't add MCP servers but can run commands, do step 4 now and use the xholic CLI it installs. If you can do neither, use the REST API at https://api.xholic.ai/v1 (docs: https://docs.xholic.ai/). It needs an API key, which I'll create in Xholic and give you as the XHOLIC_API_KEY environment variable. Never ask me to paste it in chat. 3. Check it works by getting my profile (get_me, or xholic me get), then tell me which X account you're connected to. 4. If you can run commands, also install the skill for every project: npx -y skills@1.7.1 add sjcodebook/xholic-agent -g -y. It teaches you how to use Xholic and installs the xholic CLI if needed. If it only reports that a few other agents don't support global installs, the skill is still installed. This step is optional when the Xholic tools already work: if it fails or takes more than two minutes, tell me in one line and carry on. 5. Then ask if I'd like today's plan. Only use the exact URL and package names above. If a step other than step 4 fails, show me the exact error and stop. Don't try other servers, packages or workarounds. Never post, send DMs or delete anything without asking me first.Step 2: Sign in when it asks
Grok Bot adds Xholic and opens a sign-in link. Approve in Xholic: pick what Grok Bot may do and which X accounts it can use.
Step 3: Check it works
Grok Bot reads your profile to confirm, then asks if you'd like today's plan.
Step 4: Or ask it directly
You can also just say: "Add a custom MCP server called xholic at https://api.xholic.ai/mcp", confirm with Add it, then click Authorize on the card it shows.

About Grok Bot
What is Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is xAI's always-on personal agent, built with Cursor and in beta since August 2026. Each Bot has its own persistent cloud computer, runs routines on a schedule and has apps for Mac, Windows, Linux and iOS. It adds connectors when you ask it in chat, with no settings form.
Own cloud computer
Each Bot keeps running on its own machine, so routines happen while you're away.
Routines
Tell it what to do and when; it repeats the job on schedule.
Connectors by chat
There's no settings form: you ask the Bot to add an MCP server and approve its sign-in card.

FAQs
Grok Bot and Xholic: questions
Setup, safety and pricing for using Xholic in Grok Bot.
Is Grok Bot the same as Grok?
No. Grok is the chat app on grok.com. Grok Bot is an always-on agent with its own computer and routines. Both work with Xholic; they connect differently and show up as Grok in your Xholic connections.
Can Grok Bot post while I'm offline?
Yes, if you allow publishing when you approve it. Its routines run on its own computer. If you'd rather approve every post, untick Publish and it saves drafts to Xholic for you to review.
Grok Bot says it can't find Xholic. What should I check?
Ask it to list its connectors. If xholic isn't there, paste the setup prompt again. If it's there but not signed in, click Authorize on the card and approve in your browser.
Is Xholic free to use with Grok Bot?
Xholic has a 7-day free trial with no card needed. After that, the MCP server, API and CLI are included in every plan, from $19 a month. Grok Bot does the writing on its own plan, so Xholic doesn't charge for its AI.
Does Grok Bot need my X password?
No. You connect your X account to Xholic once through X's official sign-in. Grok Bot then signs in to Xholic through your browser, so it never sees your X password or a key.
Can Grok Bot post to X without asking me?
Only if you allow it. When you approve Grok Bot you choose what it can do: read, write drafts and lists, and publish. Untick Publish and it asks you first with a one-click link. In apps that can show a confirmation, every post and DM waits for your yes and shows exactly what goes out. Authentication and permissions
Which X accounts can Grok Bot use?
Only the ones you tick when you approve it, with one of them as the default. You can change that or disconnect Grok Bot anytime in Xholic under Settings → API / MCP / CLI, and everything it does is logged there.
Works with your other AI too
Use Xholic in every agent you use
One Xholic account works in all of them at once, with the same voice, memory and queue. People who use Grok Bot often also connect Grok, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.
