Blank Twitter post image
A blank tweet template you can edit in the card itself
Most blank tweet templates are a flat PNG with a gray circle and the words "Name" and "@username". You then open an image editor to type over them, and the result never quite matches X's spacing. This template is the real post layout, rendered in your browser: click the name, the handle or the photo and type, and the card updates the way X would show it.
Leave the text empty for a true blank post, or write a line to test how a draft reads. Switch between X's light, dim and dark themes, add or remove the verified badge, and turn the views and action bar on or off. Empty metrics stay empty, the way X shows a post nobody has engaged with yet.
When it looks right, download a PNG at 2x (or 1x or 4x) cropped to the card, or copy it to the clipboard. Your photo never leaves your device: uploads are read in the browser and nothing is sent to a server. There is no watermark.

How it works
How to make a blank tweet image
Everything is edited inside the card; the toolbar holds the theme, metrics and export.
Set the name and handle
Click "Your Name" and "@yourhandle" and type your own, or leave them as placeholders for a generic template.
Add a profile photo
Click the avatar to upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF under 5 MB. It stays in your browser.
Choose the badge and theme
Pick no badge, blue, gold or gray, then switch between light, dim and dark.
Show or hide metrics
Hide the views and action bar for a clean card, or show them and type the numbers you need.
Download the PNG
Pick 1x, 2x or 4x and download, or copy the image straight into a doc or slide.
What you can change
Every part of a blank X post, editable
The layout, fonts and icons match X; the content is yours.
Editable name and handle
Type directly on the card. Handles follow X's 15-character rule.
Private photo upload
Upload an avatar and up to four post images. Files are read locally and never uploaded.
Optional post text
Keep the body empty for a blank template or add text, line breaks and emoji to preview a draft.
Badge picker
No badge, the blue check, the gold business check or the gray government check.
Metrics on or off
Hide the views and action bar entirely, or show them with your own numbers. Zero counts stay blank, like on X.
Tight PNG export
The download is cropped to the card at 1x, 2x or 4x, with no watermark and no extra margin.
Use cases
What people use a blank tweet template for
Anywhere a post-shaped frame helps more than a screenshot.
Slides and decks
Drop a clean, on-brand post frame into a presentation and fill in the quote you want to discuss.
Content planning
Preview how a hook reads in X's layout before you write the rest of the post.
Social graphics
Use a post card as the base of an Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube community graphic.
Teaching and workshops
Give students a blank post to fill in when explaining hooks, threads or media literacy.
Responsible use
A template, not a fake
A blank template with your own name is a design asset. Putting words in a real person's mouth is not: don't use this or any mockup tool to fake a post from someone else, invent evidence or impersonate an account. Label mockups when there's any chance they could be mistaken for a real post. Xholic AI is not affiliated with X Corp.
FAQ
Blank tweet template FAQ
Sizes, themes, privacy and using the image.
How do I make a blank Twitter post image?
Use the template above: set a name and handle (or keep the placeholders), choose a theme, hide the metrics if you want a clean card, and press Download. You get a PNG of an empty X post with no watermark.
What size is the downloaded blank tweet image?
The card is 744 pixels wide at 1x, so the default 2x download is 1488 pixels wide and 4x is 2976 pixels wide. The height depends on what the card contains, because the PNG is cropped to the card.
Can I make a blank tweet template in dark mode?
Yes. Switch the theme to dark for X's black background or dim for the dark blue one. The export uses the theme you pick.
Is my profile photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is read by your browser and drawn into the card on your device. It isn't sent to Xholic or anyone else.
Can I add text, an image or numbers to the template?
Yes. Type in the post body, click the image area to add up to four pictures, and show the metrics to type views, replies, reposts, likes and bookmarks.
Where can I find text templates to fill in?
Our Twitter post templates page has 80 fill-in-the-blank posts for hooks, launches, threads, lists and questions. Copy one, then paste it into this card to see how it reads.
