How to add the Xholic MCP server to Hermes Agent

Connect your X account to Xholic first (one click with X's official sign-in, during the free trial). Then:

Billing, X account connections and security settings stay inside the Xholic app.

Setup, safety and pricing for using Xholic in Hermes Agent.

Can Hermes run Xholic on a server?

Yes. Sign in once where you can open a browser, or use an Xholic API key as a header in ~/.hermes/config.yaml for a headless server.

Does Hermes need the MCP toolset turned on?

Yes. Make sure mcp is in the toolsets Hermes loads; otherwise it won't see Xholic's tools.

Is Xholic free to use with Hermes Agent?

Xholic has a 7-day free trial with no card needed. After that, the MCP server, API and CLI are included in every plan, from $19 a month. Hermes Agent does the writing on its own plan, so Xholic doesn't charge for its AI.

Does Hermes Agent need my X password?

No. You connect your X account to Xholic once through X's official sign-in. Hermes Agent then signs in to Xholic through your browser, so it never sees your X password or a key.

Can Hermes Agent post to X without asking me?

Only if you allow it. When you approve Hermes Agent you choose what it can do: read, write drafts and lists, and publish. Untick Publish and it asks you first with a one-click link. Which X accounts can Hermes Agent use?

Only the ones you tick when you approve it, with one of them as the default. You can change that or disconnect Hermes Agent anytime in Xholic under Settings → API / MCP / CLI, and everything it does is logged there.
