Public X account analysis

What this Twitter analyzer shows about any public X account

Enter a public handle and the analyzer reads the account's recent original posts, leaving out replies and reposts, then turns them into an engagement grade, a profile score, view benchmarks, a posting rhythm and the posts that carried the account. When a profile replies far more than it posts, the tool fetches extra pages so the sample still reflects what the account actually publishes.

Every report states how many posts it used and how confident it is. A grade built from 30 posts says something; a grade built from five says much less, and the report tells you so instead of hiding it behind a confident number.

The analysis uses public data only. X shows private analytics such as impressions breakdowns, profile visits, link clicks and follows from a post only to the account owner, so no outside tool can read them. If you own the account, use this report next to X's native analytics. If you don't, it's the clearest public picture of how the account performs.

Methodology

How we calculate

  1. 01

    Which posts are counted

The report uses the account's most recent original posts. Replies and reposts are excluded because they measure someone else's conversation; quote posts count as original. For reply-heavy accounts the tool fetches one more page to fill out the sample, and it always shows the final sample size.

  2. 02

    Engagement rate

Engagement rate is visible interactions on a post (likes, replies, reposts and quotes) divided by its public view count. Views are the closest public stand-in for impressions, so the rate is comparable across accounts in a way that a follower-based rate isn't.

  3. 03

    Grade and confidence

The A–D grade places the engagement rate against bands for the account's follower tier, because engagement rates usually fall as audiences grow. Confidence depends on the sample size (fewer than 8 posts is low, 20 or more is high), and the label tells you when to treat the grade as provisional.

  4. 04

    Median versus average views

The average adds every post's views and divides by the number of posts, so one viral post can double it. The median is the middle post when all posts are sorted by views, which makes it the better estimate of what the account's next post will reach.

  5. 05

    Estimated Original Content Rewards

The payout range multiplies an estimate of monthly original-post impressions by $5 to $12 per million. That range is Xholic's working estimate, not a rate published by X. It only applies to eligible accounts: at the time of writing X requires Premium, at least 500 verified followers and 500,000 original-post impressions in the last 90 days.

  6. 06

    Best times and follower trend

Best times group the sampled posts by day and hour and weight each slot by how well its posts performed, then convert the result to your browser's timezone. The follower trend uses snapshots Xholic has already stored for the account; if none exist yet, the section says tracking has started instead of guessing a trend.

How it works

How to analyze an X profile in five steps

A full report takes a few seconds. Reading it well takes a minute longer, so check the sample size before anything else.

01

Enter a public handle

Type the username with or without the @. Private, suspended and deactivated accounts can't be analyzed because their posts aren't public.

02

Check the sample and confidence

Look at how many original posts were analyzed and the confidence label next to the grade. Treat low-confidence results as a direction, not a verdict.

03

Read the grade, score and views

The A–D grade compares engagement with accounts in the same follower tier. Median views are the account's typical reach; the average is pulled up by outliers.

04

Study top posts and timing

Open the top posts to see why each one beat the account's median, then check the best times to post, converted to your own timezone.

05

Compare, copy or share

Add a second handle to compare two profiles side by side, copy a plain-text summary, download the report as an image or share a link to it.

What the report includes

Everything a public X profile reveals, in one report

Each section answers a question people usually check by scrolling a timeline for twenty minutes.

Engagement grade by follower size

An A–D grade that compares the account with others in its tier: under 1K, 1K–10K, 10K–100K, 100K–1M or 1M+ followers. A 2% rate means something different at 800 followers than at 800,000.

Profile score out of 100

Five areas scored separately: profile completeness, audience shape, engagement, posting consistency and positioning, so you can see which one drags the total down.

Average and median views

Both numbers side by side, plus engagement rate by views and posts per week. A big gap between the two means one or two posts are doing most of the work.

Top posts with reasons

The best recent posts ranked by engagement, each with a short note on what likely made it work, such as media, a question that drew replies or a reshare-worthy list.

Best times and content mix

The days and hours when this account's posts performed best, shown in your timezone, next to the split of text, media, link and hashtag posts.

Estimated creator payout

A monthly Original Content Rewards range based on the account's recent original-post views, with X's eligibility rules spelled out next to it.

Follower trend

When Xholic has stored follower snapshots for the account, the report charts how its audience has moved over time instead of showing a single number.

Creator archetype

Once at least eight posts are available, the report labels the account's style, such as a conversation builder or a visual-led creator, based on how it actually posts.

Use cases

Who uses a free Twitter account analyzer

The same report answers different questions depending on whose account you enter.

01

Checking your own account

See whether your engagement holds up against accounts your size and which formats earn replies, without opening X's analytics dashboard.

02

Researching competitors

Compare your profile with a competitor's to see who posts more often, whose median post reaches more people and what their best posts have in common.

03

Vetting creators for sponsorships

Before paying for a post, check whether a creator's median views and engagement match their follower count or rely on a few viral hits.

04

Reporting to clients

Download the report image or share the link to give a client a quick snapshot of an account before a strategy call.

Responsible use

Public data only, read with context

The analyzer reads only what any logged-out visitor could see on X: public posts, public view counts and the public profile. It can't access private impressions, profile visits, link clicks, demographics or anything from a private account, and the account owner isn't notified. Treat grades and payout estimates as estimates; a small sample, a recent viral post or a long posting break can all move them. Xholic AI is not affiliated with X Corp.

FAQ

Twitter analyzer FAQ

Answers to what people search before they run a profile report.

How can I see someone's Twitter analytics?

X only shows full analytics, like impressions breakdowns, profile visits and link clicks, to the account owner. Anyone can see the public numbers on each post: views, likes, replies, reposts and bookmarks. This analyzer collects those public numbers from the account's recent original posts and turns them into averages, medians, an engagement grade and top posts.

Is this Twitter analyzer free, and do I need to log in?

It's free and needs no Xholic account and no X login. Enter a public handle and the report runs.

Can I analyze a private X account?

No. Posts from protected accounts aren't public, so there's nothing to analyze. The tool also can't read suspended or deactivated profiles.

Will the account owner know I analyzed their profile?

No. The tool reads public data and doesn't notify the account or appear in its analytics.

What is a good engagement rate on X?

It depends on follower count. Smaller accounts usually see higher rates because their audience is closer to them, so a single benchmark is misleading. That's why the grade compares the account with others in the same follower tier instead of using one number for everyone.

How much does X pay creators?

X doesn't publish a fixed rate. Xholic estimates $5 to $12 per million impressions on original posts, and the report applies that range to the account's recent views. You only qualify for payouts with Premium, at least 500 verified followers and 500,000 original-post impressions in the last 90 days, based on X's rules at the time of writing.

Why are median views lower than average views?

A few high-performing posts pull the average up, while the median ignores how far above the middle they landed. If the gap is large, the account's typical post reaches far fewer people than its average suggests.

Why does my report say low confidence?

The account has few recent original posts, mostly replies, or posts spread across a long period. Post a few more original posts and run the report again for a steadier grade.

Can I compare two X accounts?

Yes. Add a second handle to see both profiles side by side, including grade, median views, posting frequency and profile score. The free Compare Twitter Accounts tool goes further, with who's ahead on each metric and by how much, best times, content mix and top posts for both accounts.

Track your own account every day, not just once

Xholic keeps your posts, follower history and best formats in one place, drafts new posts in your voice and schedules them for the times your audience responds.
