The S&P 500 fell 1.1% today, its 20th daily decline so far this year with a loss above 1%. This is perfectly normal volatility for the stock market - the average year since 1928 has 29 large declines. Downside risk is the price of admission. Without it, there would be no reward.

The Fed has failed spectacularly at its most important mandate: price stability. Since January 2020, consumer prices in the US have risen at a 4% annualized rate, DOUBLE the Fed's 2% target. The CPI is now 14% above where it would be if the Fed had actually done its job.
